It’s the weekend!

Take a breath.  Slow down.  Think.

Thinking is crucial to who we are and what we do. Take some time to think about how your life is lived.   Own what’s going well and what’s not in your day-to-day living.

Owning the way life is lived has become unusual.

Why?

One reason:  Blame.

The thing is . . .   placing blame on an individual or circumstance . . .  has become a habit in this era.

Why?

One reason:  Blame is an easy go-to while thinking takes effort and work in this fast-paced-pressure-filled noisy era. Owning the “state” of our life requires focused thinking.

The distractions of living make it a challenge to focus.  Our best thinking occurs when we take the time to step away from it all and relax.

Thinking is a discipline of living our best, to be practiced and exercised. 

Philippians 4:8 says to think on what is “authentic and real, honorable and admirable, beautiful and respectful, pure and holy, merciful and kind (TPT)” connecting with the thoughts of God.  This is key to thinking our best. 

As you think . . . take time to write some key words and thoughts  . . . to keep focused on what matters for your life.

Include the question, “Why?” 

Thinking on the “why” changes the trajectory of the way life goes, challenging the way we live, giving reason to change what needs to be changed to be who we are to be and do what’s ours to do.

Challenge those who sit at your table this weekend to think and share what they think. 

Why?

We learn from what someone thinks, whether they are young or old.

Think on this:  Thinking matters.
