I hang out at a coffee shop a few times a month, writing and connecting with the community of coffee drinkers. It’s a fun, interactive place. There’s something about drinking a cup of coffee that lends itself to speaking our mind, whether it’s about home, work, or the state of the union.

Proverbs 23:7 says how we think reveals who we are.

When we spend more time thinking about irritations or what overwhelms us, then, we should not be surprised when people see us as negative and unproductive.  On the other side of it, when we think about the gift of the day with gratefulness, others see us as positive and productive.

When our mind is focused on God, we are viewed  as God-driven.

2 Chronicles 6:7 says the ancient King David centered his thoughts on building for God.  The thing is . . . David’s thoughts revealed what embodied his life . . . a relationship with God. When we focus our thoughts on God with all of our heart, we are motivated to put all of our energy and effort into our God-ordained mission and purpose—we have positioned ourselves to live in unlimited possibilities for our life.

We are at our best when we develop God-driven thinking.

Take time to evaluate how you think:  “Are you thinking about what God has for you today and how to align with it all?”

  It’s worth thinking about.
